Hi, I'm looking forward to watching all your writing content as you work on this book! I have many different projects in the works but my main one as of right now is a cozy fantasy novel (most likely YA). I'm a little over 20,000 words so far. I wrote the first draft of this story last year. Since I've come back to it, I've changed the format in which the story is told and strengthen the plot. So far so good (at least I hope lol). Good luck on your writing!!

4k words in 24hrs is amazing congrats!💖I am also working on my first novel~ its a new adult paranormal fantasy and I'm struggling frfr! But knowing that's its arduous process I'm giving myself a lot of grace and trying not to get overwhelmed. Thanks for helping me to stay inspired!

I hear you - I am struggling as well. So many ppl I follow seem to just be able to sit and their story comes to them. Meanwhile, I get stuck with writers block that lasts me weeks for the WIP.

I've decided to call my WIP draft zero. Or discovery draft. I have a beginning, some stuff happening and an end but I haven't figured out how to tie all the pieces together and I am struggling doing a chapter by chapter outline. My story doesn't really come to me in a linear way. To complicate - I have always envisioned it as a multiple book series. I feel like a lot weighs on the first story to flesh out the characters that will develop in further books.

That makes total sense! Such a good way to put less pressure on what it needs to be while you figure it out.

Well done! These days if I try and get more than 2500 words in a day my brain starts to feel like swiss cheese, so 4k is incredible to me! I am just about at the 20% mark of my story, but I'm well over my word count. Ah well, that's what first drafts are for, right? 😅😅

I'm really excited to follow your writing journey! I've never written a children's book before but I've always enjoyed reading middle grade books growing up too so I'm interested in seeing the evolution of this story! I'm currently in draft 2 the revision stage of my story and I'm writing a queer dystopian sci-fi with a friends to lovers slow burn romance and astronomy and astrology themes! 💫🌌

@Mariah_Etheridge same I NEED slow burn 🤣 and yay! I love meeting people who are just as much into astronomy and astrology as I am! It's become my whole life at this point 🤣 Feel free to check out my videos. I have a dedicated playlist for my dystopian sci-fi novel so you can easily binge with that if you want to! 😁
